Bush, Cheney & Co. Have Destroyed Iraq

There seems little doubt that even if Iraq doesn't sink into civil war that it is so close to an abyss that life for Iraqis is going to get even harder than it has been since the Coalition of the Willing invaded Iraq.

In what can only be described as a forthright and powerful article on AlterNet by Robert Dreyfuss, he accuses George Bush and his VP Dick Cheney as being to blame for destroying Iraq.

What Dreyfuss overlooks is that Bush and Co. were joined in the folly of what has now turned into a major distaster by Great Britain and Australia.

As John Howard celebrates 10 years in office, what a testament to his tenure to know that he has been jointly responsible for destroying a country and bringing about so many deaths and casualties for Iraqis and British and American soldiers.

Isn't there something radically wrong here? Israel, a non-signatory to the NPT has, evidently, been the cause for those countries that are Treaty members, notably Canada, the US and the UK, after 4 weeks of negotiation, effectively blocking off any meaningful progress in ensuring the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons.
