"Blaming spies is a distraction. The evidence of dodgy deals in Iraq should have been obvious" writes Andrew Wilkie [former intelligence officer with the Office of National Assessments] in an opinion piece in today's SMH.
Wilkie was also on ABC Radio National's Breakfast program this morning. Wilkie rightly points out that the track record of Howard and Co. in relation to the children overboard scenario and WMD's as the basis for invading Iraq is discredited.
So, as Wilkie asks, why should we believe what Federal Ministers are now saying about what they knew, or didn't know, about the huge kick-backs the AWB was engaged in.
