Whilst the fall-out from the shooting of 16 Afghanis by an American - although reports today say that there was more than one person - gets worse by the day, on The Young Turks, author of the superb book "The Operators" speaks about the shooting.
"Michael Hastings, author of “The Operators,” joins Cenk to talk about an expedited exit strategy for getting the U.S. out of Afghanistan and the role in that decision played by the massacre in Khandahar of 16 Afghans by a solider. “They say [the shooter] has a traumatic brain injury,” Hastings says. “But what we see on a weekly basis is…Afghans being killed. It happens because we have 100,000 troops in Khandahar who know that we’re leaving… If he’s insane, he’s a symptom of an insane policy.”
