The spectacle also led a whopping 77% of Americans polled to say politicians acted like spoiled brats, not adults - all to end up with a deal the majority doesn't like anyway.
"That's real money," said IHS Chief Economist Nariman Behravesh. "Taxpayers need to wake up to the fact that these kind of shenanigans in the end cost."
