Former CIA boss George Tenet, now author, has been putting his side of the story on that now well known "slam dunk" comment about the then impending Iraq War. Is he trying to re-write history or attempting a positive spin for himself? Who really knows.
Whatever the truth and whatever has motivated Tenet to write his book, a group of former CIA intelligence officers, have sent Tenet a letter to protest his upcoming book tour. They specifically call on him to return the Medal of Freedom he received from George Bush and to donate part of the royalties from his book proceeds to the soldiers (and their families) who have been killed and wounded in Iraq.

Meanwhile, David Corn, as published on The Nation says:
"George Tenet sat on the real story of how Bush and Cheney deceived us about Iraq. Now he's peddling the truth for personal gain. The American people deserve to get the facts for free."
