Some banker......from hell!

From CommonDreams a piece on a scenario which can only be described as surreal....

"A disabled woman in California facing eviction - and offering a good-faith mortgage payment to prevent it - was arrested after she and 80 mostly union protesters demonstrated outside the luxurious home of Wells Fargo Chief Financial Officer Tim Sloan, thus violating a city ordinance aimed at keeping just such rabble-rousers away.

Ana Casas-Wilson, who has cerebral palsy and uses a motorized wheelchair, got behind on payments when her husband lost his job and she entered the hospital for breast cancer treatment. The bank refused for months to modify the terms of the loan on the modest home where she has lived for 27 years; once her husband started working again and they could start catching up on payments, the bank continued to reject their loan modification offers.

Wells Fargo leads the nation in housing foreclosure rates. San Marino, where Sloan lives, has one of the highest per-capita incomes in Los Angeles, and the country."

Not for the first time does MPS wonder what sort of country it is when Israel so flagrently allows what can only be described as barbaric and inhuman behaviour to be undertaken by, amongst others, its IDF. No one has seemingly challenged Israel's actions. However, perhaps it's gone a bridge too far - as The Independent reports.
