Lesson #101 on how to be a poor corporate citizen....and garner some bad pr in the process.
"Fed up with Abercrombie & Fitch's douchey elitist policies - no clothes for the chubby or otherwise unbeautiful people, thanks - an L.A. filmmaker has begun a campaign to rebrand A&F clothes by giving them away to the people he knows A&F doesn't want wearing them - the homeless. Greg Karber is particularly incensed at A&F's admission that they burn surplus clothes rather than give them away. His video doing so has sparked both the indignant charge that he's exploiting the homeless by using them as props, and righteous admiration. There's also a Change.org petition insisting it's time for the company to "embrace the beauty in all sizes."
