Gun madness in America

As if the Americans haven't over the years witnessed enough random shootings on campus and elsewhere, now the Wall Street Journal reports that students are at increasing numbers of campuses being permitted to carry guns. Sheer madness!

"At more college campuses across the country, students are winning the right to pack a gun.

Many colleges have long been allowed to make their own decisions about whether students can carry firearms on campus, and most still forbid it. But gun-rights advocates working through the courts and state legislatures have managed to secure a significant expansion of gun rights at public universities.

Students are now permitted by law to carry guns on public campuses in five states—four more than two years ago."

Not for the first time does MPS wonder what sort of country it is when Israel so flagrently allows what can only be described as barbaric and inhuman behaviour to be undertaken by, amongst others, its IDF. No one has seemingly challenged Israel's actions. However, perhaps it's gone a bridge too far - as The Independent reports.
