What seems to be constantly overlooked in relation to Israel's occupation of the West Bank is that Israel is an occupier - bound by international law to act as such. It is not, contrary to what Israel is allowed to get away with, a relationship of master, Israelis, and servants, Palestinians.
Not only are the Israelis blatantly stealing Palestinian land but as Haaretz reports they are now stealing monies rightly that of the Palestinians. And where are the protests by the US or that appallingly pathetic Quartet of which Tony Blair is the envoy.
"Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz says he is delaying a cash transfer to the Palestinian Authority because of a new unity deal between rival Palestinian factions.
Steinitz says he will hold up the transfer of $89 million in Palestinian tax funds and customs fees that Israel collects on the Palestinians' behalf.
Steinitz told Army Radio on Sunday that the money was supposed to be transferred this week but would remain in Israeli hands until it was clear it would not reach the militants of Hamas."
