It's a dilemma. What is a reporting journalist to do when "covering" a story? - especially when surrounded by tragedy as an ABC [Australia] journalist was in Haiti recently.
From Correspondents Report on ABC Radio National:
"The earthquake in Haiti brought about a level of devastation not often seen anywhere on Earth. Hundreds of thousands of people were in desperate need for food, shelter and medical supplies, without which they might die. The ABC sent a number of journalists and camera crew to cover the tragedy, and here one of them, Craig McMurtrie, recounts his personal struggle to carry out his job while there were so many suffering people around him."
